Car rental chain rebranding
About the rental company before the rebranding, its competitors and the task
The Global CFM car rental network has changed its name to Rentis due to its development plans. Our task was to create a new logo, KeyVisual design, utility and promotional materials, airport branch signage elements and consistent visual standards applicable to all Rentis locations in Poland and the Czech Republic.
Strategic Work and Identity
The car rental segment is a highly saturated market. In addition to very strong global brands (including Sixt, Avis and Europcar), there are recognizable Polish chain rental companies (including Panek) and a large number of local brands. We conducted a thorough competitor analysis to find the features and brand values that will distinguish the new brand from its competitors.
Graphic mark and KV of the brand
When creating the graphic symbol of the new Rentis brand, we wanted the recipient of the message to see in it: firstly, an association with renting (picking up and returning, hence the use of an arrow in a circle), and secondly, a time measurement, referring to a car speedometer.
The slogan “Smart way to rent a car” sends a strong, simple message – rent a car wisely and economically.
In the visual/photographic layer, we wanted to show various situations related to traveling by car and the positive emotions associated with it. In the verbal layer, we have combined 3 key features SIMPLY, SAFELY, FOR LESS.
SIMPLY, or simpler – we simplify our offer and procedures as much as possible.
SAFELY, or safer – we try to ensure peace of mind for those travelling in our cars, we want our Customers to be and feel safe.
FOR LESS, or cheaper – we offer the highest standards of vehicles and services, and at the same time we are cheaper than foreign companies.
Consumables
In order to attract the attention of as many potential customers as possible, we created a package of appropriately prepared, coherent and adapted to the requirements of Rentis branches utility and promotional materials. Among others, we designed leaflets, all information elements related to car rental (e.g. leaflet pendant, registration certificate case, “first aid” leaflet), promotional materials such as banners and billboards.
Signage and facility standards
We developed a complete set of materials related to the identification of the network of points (Employees’ uniforms, external markings such as flags, totems, ceiling lights, semaphores and internal posters, office interior designs). Our work included both points in Poland and abroad.
Social media useful when traveling
Social media in 2015 worked completely differently than today. That is why when creating the strategy of the FB profile, we focused primarily on its content attractiveness. The main idea of the profile is contained in the slogan “Rentis – with us you are on the way” and our idea was to show the benefits of smart travel and sightseeing in Poland and the Czech Republic by car.

- Travel inspirations – ideas for a weekend in Poland and the Czech Republic, a week with a given place and posts that combine photos, videos and texts – describing a given place – 70% of content
- Travel challenges – presentation of unique places, places that no one would think could be reached by car; worth visiting in Poland and the Czech Republic – 20% of content
- What’s new in Rentis – new cars, new branches – informing customers about all the beneficial changes in Rentis – 10% of content
Website design with a reservation system
Simultaneously with the project of standardization of the facilities, we launched the design of the website together with an advanced reservation system that downloads reservations made in real time by external systems, such as booking.com or hotele.pl. Our work included the development of graphic designs for the website and technical documentation for integration. The implementation of the system and technical support was handled by eFresh.
