    How to create a brand?

    A brand is defined as “a name, sign and symbol that identifies with the manufacturer or seller of a product”. However, above all, a brand is a value. Nowadays, properly promoted and created, it is a source of advantage over the competition, which translates into the company’s profits.

    We live in times when a conscious consumer does not only buy products, but also emotions and impressions. That is why the brand image is so important. The truth is that the customer does not need your services and is not waiting to learn about your company’s offer, and in addition, there is a good chance that the product you offer is not innovative and many companies before you have already come up with the same idea. Therefore, in order to attract consumers, you need to create a unique brand that will leave the competition behind.

    Brand strategy and its creation are not easy processes and are certainly time-consuming. They also require consistency in action and coming up with a plan that will help create a coherent brand image.

    The basis of a well-thought-out activity is the brand’s mission. It should be directed not only to potential customers, but also to the company’s employees, so that they understand the purpose of the work they are doing. The mission sets a specific direction for the company’s development, setting specific challenges for its employees.

    It is important to remember that its implementation should be feasible. This is the basis for creating a brand strategy, because without knowledge of what we want to achieve and where we want to be in the future, it is difficult to achieve success.

    A good brand – what does it mean?

    What are the characteristics of a good brand? It should primarily:

    • Continuously develop
    • Stand out from the competition
    • Express the benefits of using the product or service
    • Impact the customer’s emotions
    • Be associated with the unique features of the product or service

    Branding is also a clear communication of unique values. It can be achieved through a properly selected name, i.e. naming, appropriate graphic design (branding) and a properly selected target.

    Brand visuals

    The visual elements of a brand are an important part of it that should be mentioned. What do they consist of? These are primarily the brand book, logo and colors that will affect the appearance of the website and advertisements.

    If you want to build a professional brand, you cannot start with a logo, because the logo itself is not a brand – first, you must create the entire brand concept, and only then its graphic design.

    It is important that all these elements are always consistent. When creating visual communication, it is worth relying on a specific color palette that will be consistently used by the company in the future.

    Creating an attractive brand that will be recognizable on the market is a long-term process based on systematicity. Nowadays, standing out from the competition without a carefully planned brand strategy is virtually impossible. So, to ensure success, you should start building a brand as early as possible.
