Branding of the new smart airport parking brand
Ultra-modern parking at the airport and our task
We were asked to create a branding concept for a unique airport parking lot. Why unique? Because the assumption of the parking lot was its full automation – from the purchase process via the application / website, through automatic reading at the entrance from the mobile application to transport to the airport. Our scope of work included naming, visual identification design and the creation of an online system managing the parking lot.
Brand Identity and Visual Concept
Practical, modern, reliable – so that you don’t waste a moment of time on the road. We wanted to capture the Owner’s strategic assumptions in the brand identity:
– self-service payment thanks to the mobile application, entry to a selected, highlighted place (to find a place faster)
– possibility of using toilets with a shower arranged in the premium class and waiting in a mini restaurant at the petrol station connected to the car park
– airport transfer every 10 minutes by a dedicated bus, with information included in the mobile application

In the naming, our goal was to show a very high level of culture and quality of the parking lot, which in the owner’s vision was to distinguish the brand from others. Hence the name Quality Parking.
The colors of the new brand were to refer to the colors of the BP station, owned by our Client. At the same time, in the graphic layer we used many icons that supported the verbal message both on the website and in the brand’s information materials.
Useful elements of the brand
Due to the assumption of full automation of the parking lot, we did not design too many “traditional” utility materials. We focused on directional boards and access markings, as well as branding of buses circulating between the parking lot and the airport.
Preliminary works parking reservation system
Based on the Owner’s guidelines, we developed a list of key functionalities and the so-called user flow, or processes of future users, related to them. The documentation that was created concerned both the website with the reservation system and the mobile application integrated with the parking management systems. The documentation also included a list of views with a description of the necessary integrations with external systems and low-fidelity mockups (i.e. showing black and white materials illustrating processes but not constituting graphic designs).
Design and mockup of a parking reservation system
After completing the initial documentation, we carried out the graphic design process for the system and mobile application. As a result, over 60 unique views ready for implementation, i.e. the so-called high-fidelity mockup, were created. The implementation of this fully integrated solution was handled by our eFresh software house. In terms of technology, the Laravel framework based on the Model-View-Controller design pattern was used. The system was integrated with the mobile application in React Native.
Key functionalities included in the system:
– online parking space reservation system with payment system
– business reporting system and sales invoice
– SMS notification system for arriving Customers
– integration with entry gates
– integration with a display showing the arrival time of the nearest bus
– notification system for bus drivers
– integration with access cards (access to luxury bathrooms dedicated only to parking Customers)
