Brand lift for fuel tank manufacturer
About Fortis Technology and the task
Branding a manufacturing company is never an easy task due to the need for in-depth knowledge and understanding of the specifics of the industry. Alongside Kingspan, Fortis is one of the largest manufacturers of tanks and large-size plastic elements in Poland.
Our task was to standardize the identification system of a group of brands with an extensive matrix with reference to products offering plastic tanks used to store operating fluids: fuels, oil and aqueous urea solution (AdBlue).
Brand identity, architecture and graphic sign facelift
Fortis offers tanks designed to store very different liquids with different specifications and purposes. For easier identification (also at the tank level), different colors have been used. In addition, Fortis has made a strategic decision to enter new areas of activity, hence the use of sketches to show the company’s production capabilities (tanks, home decor elements and agricultural assortment).
KeyVisual brands
Building a unique brand style for the recipient of the message comes down to developing KeyVisual. In our KV, we used the previously designed Fortis brand logo (according to the Client’s guidelines, we could not make any changes to the logo). The designer who designed it was inspired by the “droplet arrangement” on a flat surface (spilled oil, petrol). We decided that this concept has great development potential. Droplets (circles) can be used as various characteristic elements, e.g. as icon protection fields, www buttons, photo framing fields, etc.
Brand consumables
Our work included designing product catalogs, brochures, and price lists. The most difficult part of this work was understanding the needs of users (agricultural wholesalers and distributors trading Fortis products). Without very good cooperation with the Fortis marketing and sales team, we certainly would not have been able to complete this task. In the projects, we used icons, created a system for marking individual product functions, and of course, we used the KeyVisual theme based on the logotype.
Business stationery
Simple but captivating in its simplicity. We gave them a bit of nobility, including on business cards, by placing UV foil in the place where the “drop” is exposed. When designing letterhead, business cards, email footers or envelopes, we always remember that, contrary to appearances, these are very important carriers of the brand’s message.
Sales presentation
We took .ppt presentations to the workshop, preparing usable templates. Thanks to this, Sellers shortened the time of preparing offers by approx. 70% of time. This is a great benefit for the end customer (they quickly receive the offer) and for the employer (the sales employee is 3 times more efficient). At the stage of changing the identification, it is worth considering whether it is possible to make the work of the sales force easier.
Photo session of the factory
One of the key elements was to conduct a photo session thanks to which Fortis Technology showed its production potential. We planned and conducted a 2-day photo session, taking over 50 shots. Creating unique brand content, including video and photo materials, is an important moment. We wanted the factory’s branding to show that there are people behind the brand, a real team that is the best brand ambassador.
Design and implementation of websites
The Fortis Technology website is a company website with a unique form of product presentation in the form of an animated fuel tank configurator. We have developed functional specifications, clickable mockups and content necessary to publish the website. Development work and technological support were handled by our sister company eFresh.
