ABOUT THE CENTAURUS FOUNDATION
For 18 years, the Centaurus Foundation has been helping animals in Poland and around the world. To quote the Foundation’s website: “it’s hard to count how many animals we have helped, but after all these years, we are certain that our work in saving animals will never end. There will always be an animal somewhere in the world that needs saving. Together, we can save and take care of many lives.”
Project Goals and Strategic Work
After 18 years, the Foundation’s profile has changed – apart from being the largest horse shelter in Europe (with 3 centres and over 1,500 horses under its care), Centaurus began to organise foreign missions and help thousands of other animals (including dogs and cats). The logo and identification “did not keep up with the changes”. As part of our strategic work, we developed a brand identity and created a unique visual style for the Foundation and its projects.
Creation of the brand mark and KV
When designing the brand logo, our goal was to show the international nature of the Foundation’s activities (the first association with the logo is the globe) and care for nature and ecology (the second association is the green planet). In “closer contact” with the logo, we formed the shapes of the continents to show the desired shapes – a horse, a dog, a cat and a human hand symbolizing care and kindness.

The Foundation conducts many educational projects, hence the development of a visually coherent system of sub-brands was important for its operation.
We developed a model and assumptions in which the sub-brands drew on elements of the style of the leading brand, the Centaurus Foundation, while receiving unique details.
Common elements – the shape of the signet ring, the name of the Foundation guaranteed in the sign, the colors, the visual style.
Elements unique to sub-brands – e.g. for Animality these were the symbolism of the sign (exotic animals – koala, bird, whale fin), the style of photos (emotional ones showing a person’s love for an exotic animal), the use of drawn elements (graphics, illustrations, animal footprint patterns).

In every branding project, the key challenge is to consistently translate the visual concept into everyday life.
When creating the Foundation’s materials, we wanted to show how important it is for people in the Foundation to take care of nature, hence the use of recycled paper in business cards or on notebook covers.
Empty Supplies Package for Everyday Use
Every day, the Foundation’s work is an encounter with animal suffering, which is why the materials are to remind Employees of their mission and the positive energy their work brings. We have designed screen savers for mobile and desktop for them, as well as a package of materials they work with every day (email footer, letterheads, .ppt presentation templates, envelopes, notebooks and many others).
Not only for Employees
Many people come into contact with the Foundation every day – most of them want to help or are already helping. With them in mind, we have created bookmarks, among other things. Each one with a different pet and a message. In our intention, it will remind us of the possibility of doing good together with the Foundation.
holiday in the mud
The Centaurus Foundation implemented the first holiday for Donors in 2024, during which children and parents took a break from reality and electronic devices to focus on developing relationships with each other and animals. Our role was modest – we helped create the name of the project and its identification.

The Foundation has over 130,000 followers, which is why social media branding was such an important element of our work.
Together with the Foundation team, we developed a strategic plan for social media communication, created characteristic elements for everyday use (including cover photos, avatars, post templates, walls and elements characteristic for reels and videos).
Website design and implementation
As part of the website implementation project, we developed a clickable website prototype (desktop and mobile), integration specifications, and a model for its future development. The implementation was handled by our technology company eFresh.
What was the challenge? Showing thousands of animals, their stories and the stories of helping. When building the website, we also faced a completely unusual payment system (many possibilities for donating and related system integration). See the results at www.centaurus.org.pl
Magazine Layout ,,Bądź Bio" and Newsletter
With over 1 million donors, the Foundation maintains relationships with them by publishing a periodic printed magazine, “Dzień Bio,” and sending newsletters. We have developed a new layout for these materials and spreads that “facilitate the design” of the magazine.
Annual Report new visual style
An important element of the operation of each Foundation is the transparency of its operations and showing the purpose for which the funds collected from Donors were allocated. Together with the Foundation team, we have prepared a report showing the achievements of the Foundation. See and judge for yourself.
codification i.e. brand book and brandguide
We consider a project successful when the team on the Client’s Side wants and knows how to use the new image. That is why our standard includes training and assistance for the marketing and creative team. For the Foundation, we have developed useful in everyday work:
- Brand Book – a collection of key information on the construction and use of a brand’s logo
- Brandguide – a brand guide explaining the way of thinking graphically and building layouts, thanks to which the Foundation’s graphic designers will be able to maintain a consistent brand image for years.
Summary of our cooperation with the Centaurus Foundation
The brand lifting process, including the implementation of the website, took over 9 months and we had great satisfaction in supporting people who do a lot of good for animals. We hope that the Foundation will actively help animals for many years to come.
