    Christmas gifts for clients – how to choose?

    Christmas is just around the corner. As every year, there may be a dilemma related to buying gifts. It’s not so bad if we are looking for one for someone close to us. But what should we do if we want to give gifts to our company’s customers?

    Everyone likes to receive gifts. Well, or at least most of them. Christmas gifts are a popular tool used by many companies, which is proof of our interest.

    Customers love getting something for free. They also love to feel that they are so “important” that the company remembered them and sent them a gift. Such activities have a great impact on shaping the company’s image and are considered one of the most effective promotional media.

    It is impossible not to mention the rule of reciprocity, which Robert B. Cialdini described in his book “Influence”. In short, it talks about the need to return what someone has given us. It is a kind of obligation to repay the other person. So let’s treat such gifts as an investment for the future.

    In business relationships, there are definitely different rules for choosing gifts than in private relationships. You should consider what your relationship with the client looks like and how much you know about them. Should we focus on an elegant gift? A funny one? Or maybe it should be practical? You should pay attention to the image of your company – an advertising agency will be able to afford more imagination than, for example, a law firm.

    Christmas gifts are a good accent to sum up a year-long cooperation with a client. However, a dilemma often arises: what to choose? These are not people we know privately, so the best solution will be practical gifts that will also have the company’s logo, which will help to strengthen brand awareness. Not only will the gift speak volumes about your company – it should not be forgotten that well-designed packaging also has an impact on the perception of the gift.

    Importantly – it would be good if such a gift was personalized so that the recipient did not get the impression that the gifts were sent en masse. If we work with foreign clients, a good idea would be to send a gift that refers to Polish traditions, such as a basket containing Polish cuisine specialties.

    Something sweet

    Often we do not know the preferences of the customers we are gifting, so it is good to look among universal gifts. The vast majority of people like chocolate. Hand-decorated ones or praline sets packed in elegant boxes mean that such gifts will be received with enthusiasm.

    Chocolate is suitable as a gift for yet another reason: you can give it any shape, size, flavor, or design personalized packaging that will show your involvement in preparing the gift.

    Something practical

    If we don’t have an idea for a gift, we can choose the “safe” option, in other words – practical. Then there is a high probability that the person receiving the gift will not put it away after a while.

    -calendars – this is the type of gift that can be boring or extremely creative – the only limit is our imagination. The advantage of this type of gift is the fact that it will be relevant all year round.

    – Nutcracker – products that are strongly associated with the holidays are primarily tangerines, oranges and… nuts. A nutcracker is not a “crazy” gift, but it can be useful. It will also look good on a shelf when not in use.

    -thermal mugs – is there anything more practical than a thermos mug given as a gift on a cold winter? Well designed and elegantly packaged, it can be a hit.

    -pendrive – at first glance it seems to be something a bit hackneyed, but it all depends on our creativity. A portable drive will always come in handy, and an originally designed one will prevent it from disappearing into the depths of a drawer among other things.

    Undoubtedly, such activities improve the atmosphere and have a positive impact on mutual relations. Regardless of the gift we choose, let’s not forget about branding – let’s put our company logo on it and attach a handwritten signature of the person representing the company.

    When choosing business gifts, it is good to be original. However, if nothing comes to mind, or we are not sure whether a given gift is appropriate to send, then it is best to choose a safe option, which is an elegant and practical gift.
